Reggio Conference in Singapore 2018

100 Languages: The Power of Being Heard

The 2018 REACH (Reggio Emilia in Asia for Children) conference, held in Singapore, brought together a vibrant symphony of voices: 640 participants from 14 countries. This tapestry of cultures and perspectives resonated under the theme "100 Languages: The Power of Being Heard".

Mr Seah Kian Peng, Chairperson of the Social and Family Development Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC), graced the conference as our Guest of Honour, his presence solidified our commitment to give value and respect to children’s voices. We were deeply enriched by the insights of our speakers, Loretta Bertani, Atelerista at the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, and Moira Nicolosi, Pedagogista at the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, who led us on a journey into the heart of the Reggio Emilia Approach. Their wisdom, translated with exceptional clarity by Jane McCall, transcended language barriers and resonated with all participants.

Discussions, presentations, and exhibitor displays buzzed with energy as delegates exchanged ideas, forged connections, and celebrated the diverse voices that shape our educational landscape. The conference was a testament to the power of listening, learning, and growing together.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Reggio Children, EtonHouse International Education Group, all delegates, and exhibitors for making the 2018 REACH conference in Singapore a resounding success. May the echoes of these shared experiences continue to inspire and guide us in nurturing the potential of every child.
