Encountering Reggio Emilia: Children Making the Ordinary, Extraordinary!

The first REACH (Reggio Emilia in Asia for Children) conference, held in Chengdu, China on 6 & 7 December 2019, was attended by more than 520 delegates from across Asia and China.

We were honored to have Mr. Steven Pang, Consul General of Singapore in Chengdu as the Guest of Honour, and a witness to the Official Signing Ceremony between Reggio Children and E-Bridge Pre-School.

The trilingual conference was led by Ms Claudia Guidici, President of Reggio Children and Ms Marina Mori, Tutor Teacher of Reggio Children who shared generously of their insights to the Reggio Emilia Approach. Special thanks to Ms Jane McCall for being such an amazing translator and making it possible for all the participants to understand the in-depth sharings. Delegates were thoroughly inspired by the presentations, panel discussions, hands-on experiences, and exhibitor displays.

REACH would like to sincerely thank Reggio Children, EtonHouse International, all delegates, and exhibitors, for their support and collaboration in organising conference.

Coming to China for the very first time, the Mosaic of Marks, Words, Material Exhibition-Atelier and Conference tells the story of research done in Reggio Emilia’s infant-toddler centres and preschools on mark-making and drawing woven with narrative. Having travelled to many countries such as Canada, North and South America, Japan, Vietnam, Kuwait and Singapore, it is indeed an honour and privilege to bring it to Harbin! This is your chance to catch it!
The Mosaic of Marks exhibition atelier has travelled worldwide and is debuting in Singapore in November 2024! The uniqueness of this exhibition stems from the fact that it offers educators a rare glimpse into the work done in the pre-schools and infant toddlers centres of Reggio Emilia. It is an opportunity to connect theory and practice and bring these inspirations to your context.
Join the REACH study programmes in Singapore where you will learn from experienced educators in a learning environment inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach.
